Fab Friday Faves 1.24.14

Good morning lovelies!  After last weeks hiatus due to exhaustion and mostly just being lazy, I am back!  This week has been busy I tell you.  Monday, I went to the Botanical Gardens at the oldest university in the Americas (463 years old this year!).  Tuesday, I took the Metropolitan bus to Chinatown with Colleen and Amanda.   Wednesday I had an Internations event where I met lots of new people and Thursday, Josh had the day off so we spent some time together and had a lovely evening at the La Rosa Nautica, a restaurant out on an ocean pier.  It was delicious!  Right away this morning I am going to a Nature Conservation area for a nature walk, which will be a needed break from the noise of the city.  Jinx is doing better, still not eating and drinking enough, but he is healing, ad wanting to get up and snoop around, which he is not supposed to do, so it is getting difficult for me to keep him sitting still!

I really need to start looking more closely when I am out for favorites, as I have been having a really hard time picking them out of my weekly pictures lately!  So enjoy, and everyone have a fantastic week!

1.  The sunsets here lately have been bright pink, making the sky and the white buildings here glow pink.  Love it!

2.  I found this huge mural on a building near Chinatown on the walk to the bus stop.  Beautiful!  The street art in Lima is amazing!

3.  I had my first time getting acupuncture this week and I love it!  I am getting it to see if it helps with my migraines, so I am going to go weekly until I leave.  I was very nervous, but it didn't hurt at all, except for 3 of the many needles I had in me felt like they were electrified!

4.  Last night when Josh and I went down to the pier for dinner, we ran into this monkey, Pancha.  He was so adorable and kept sticking his hands in the pockets in my dress, playing with my hair and holding my hand.  I think I should have brought him home.

5.  This lady across from my window was 8 stories up, in her nightgown, on a thin ledge, washing her windows.  If I were going to wash my windows 80 feet up, I would wear something better than a ratty old nightgown.

  1. Oh my gosh, that lady washing her windows! I don't know that I'd be brave enough to be out there on a thin ledge 8 stories up no matter what I was wearing, haha. I'd probably have pretty dirty windows. :)

I love finding murals in new cities I visit! Lately I've only seen a lot of marine murals seeing as we're traveling down the coast. :)

    1. Where are you down the coast? I love street murals! And yes, this lady is either brave or totally insane!

  3. I'm a first timer to your blog. I love the sunset, that's incredible!

I've always wanted to try acupuncture, I've heard wonderful things about it! However, the thought of getting needles stuck in me just scares the beejeezus out of me!

    Have a happy weekend!

    1. Thank you, glad you like my blog! Honestly I hate needles and was so nervous before that I thought I was going to throw up haha, but seriously I couldn't even feel like 16 out of the 20 going in! The other ones didn't hurt, they just felt a little bit electrified. Just a strange feeling. You should try it!
