Fab Friday Faves 6.10.16

Happy Friday!  It has actually been a pretty busy week.  I had girls shopping and wine day with Nicole on Saturday, Josh and I went in to DC for the day on Sunday, I got my nails done on Monday, a massage Thursday and various other things scattered here and there.  Sounds terrible right?  The weather has been nice again which is great, and our house survived Tropical Storm Colin on the weekend.  I seriously was super stressed out about the first big storm since having the house.  I called it when we bought it,  I said this year is going to be a big storm year!  Hopefully it doesn't continue like this!   We don't have much for plans for the weekend but I am headed out for a picnic with Lindsey and the kids shortly, which I am super excited for!  Everyone have an awesome weekend, and remember, it's almost summer!

1. On Sunday, Josh and I went to the National Air and Space Museum in DC.  It was a very cool museum and a great way to spend the afternoon.  Check out my blog about it here.

2. After the museum we went to a place in the historic Foggy Bottom district of DC and went to Circa restaurant.  It's been on my list of places to go for a few months and it was so good.  We got he best ever Blue Cheese Bacon Brussel Sprouts, Josh got an awesome Bison Burger and I got the  Maple Glazed Salmon over Quinoa, eggs and bacon.

3.  This week I finally booked my flights for the next couple months and I must say that flights out of the Reagan Airport in DC are the worst ever.  Regardless I am headed back to Saskatchewan on July 10th and to Nashville for a girls weekend on September 22.  YAY!

4. I may have mentioned  this before but I am obsessed with the skincare line from 100% Pure.  Everything is all natural, vegan and not tested on animals and actually really works great and smells great.  Like great enough that i want to eat most of it.  Anyway, I ordered my night cream and Vitamin C serum and because i spent over $65, they sent me all of this, $144 of product and a bag for free.  And I have tried almost all of these free products so I know I love them, and they are legit full sized and amazing.

5. Josh and I went to Trader Joe's on Sunday, and that in itself is one of my favorite experiences, but I also got some Peonies there.  Growing up I never really liked Peonies because they always had ants crawling all over them (they need ants to open the builds or something) when we would grow them and they were just kind of annoying.  But when they are ant free they smell amazing and are so pretty!

  1. That burger looks so good! I'm going to Nashville in October & I'm so excited! I can't wait to see what you do while you're there.

  2. Reagan can be challenging to find cheap flights, but it's soooo much easier than flying out of Dulles.
