Fab Friday Faves 10.2.20

Well hello! It's been a minute I know.  Who knew a 2-7 month old would only want to nap for 20-30 minutes at a time, leaving me with no time to do anything other than tidy up the house or have a quick shower?  Well it looks like hitting 7 months was the cure, as this week he has decided to nap twice a day for 1-1.5 hours, leaving me a bit of time to sit down, or do something that I actually want to do.  Although I probably have a million favorite things to report since the last time I did a blog, I'm going to keep it to just the last couple weeks. I plan on blogging some recipes and about our awesome trip to Marco Island sometime in the near future as well.  In the meantime, enjoy my last couple weeks!

Nicole's birthday is right around the corner, and my next couple weeks are pretty busy, so we planned a day to get together with the boys to give her gifts and take her for lunch.  We started at Alafia State Park, where we had a little walk and enjoyed nature.  Then we went to one of my favorite places, Datz in Riverview for lunch.  I got the Porkfection sandwich and we both got the Cinnabunny drinks with little cinnamon buns on top.   A great day with some of my favorites.

Josh, Finn and I did the Rays 5K last weekend.  It was virtual this year and it was Finn's second 5k on his 7 month birthday.
I entered a contest a couple weeks ago from Drift Local, one of my favorite local apparel companies, as well as the Conscious Coconut, a local Coconut oil brand, and I'll be darned if I didn't win all these great prizes!

I have the yard mostly decorated for Halloween.  With a new addition of a creepy clown hanging from a tree.  I always have fun with it.  There are a few other things I didn't take pictures of too.  The first picture is hard to tell but there is a rat on the mailbox and a bat hanging from the tree.

Nicole has been telling me to try this creamer for ages but I couldn't find it (and neither could she), so when Target had it last week I grabbed us a couple.  And it is so good!  Give it a try! Something great for fall that isn't Pumpkin Spice.

And, just for fun some pictures of Finn because he is so darned cute.  He also got his first tooth (finally) this week! We also turned his Gator into the Batgator while we were decorating outside.

Fab Friday Faves 6.5.20

Hey everyone, it has been a long while since I did a Friday blog... so I thought I would do a quick one, just for fun and to take my mind off all the craziness in the world right now.  Things are going great with being a mom, Finn is such a good baby (so far) and we have so much fun.  Here are a few of my favorites from the last week.  Everyone stay safe!

Finn had his first real day at the beach on Saturday when Chad and Chrissy came over for Rowen's birthday.  We got there early and had a nice big spot in the sand and we set up our sportbrella and fan and he loved it!  He even had an hour nap on the beach blanket and dipped his toes in the water. He was such trooper even on the hot day.

On Sunday, we drove over to Burger Culture, one of our favorite burger places.  I don't think I need to say much about this, it's amazing.

Not only did we go to the beach on the weekend, we also discovered the pool is warm enough for all of us to enjoy.  So we tried out the frog floatie that Raymond had been using the day before and he loved it!  Then on Tuesday, we broke out the Otteroo to try and he loved kicking, floating a trying to swim.  I knew he would be a little water baby!

Josh and I also tried Grill Fresh, a new restaurant near our house. They do customized bowls with different meat and vegetables and carb.  I got Cuban pork, Kale salad, Asian noodles, green beans, tomatoes and cucumbers and Kale Chimmichuri sauce. It was delicious and they actually grow a lot of their own herbs and vegetables right outside of the restaurant.

Summer has arrived in Florida, and my tropical plants and flowers are in full bloom this week. So beautiful!

Nicole told me about Safe + Fair, a company that recently started making Key Lime drizzled popcorn.  So I went online and ordered most of their products.  They were sold out of the Key Lime Popcorn, so they sent the granola and will send the popcorn when it is restocked.  I've tried the Birthday Cake and Dark Chocolate popcorn and they are awesome, can't wait to try the rest.

Fab Friday Faves 2.14.20

Well, this is probably it y'all.  I'm 38 weeks today and being induced starting Wednesday evening, hoping to meet our little man on Thursday.  Am I terrified? Maybe a bit but it's a little late to back out now! Anyway, this will probably be my last post for a couple (or few)weeks, depending if this parenting thing is as tough as I am led to believe haha. This is an update from our last few very packed weeks.  I've been having lots of appointments (Finn was weighing 6lbs7oz, two weeks ago at our appt and everything was looking great), trying to get meals cooked, the house stocked, cleaned and organized, and just enjoy a little bit of our time as just the two of us and Smudge. Everyone have a great week, and as soon as I'm able I'll update everyone about how things went and some pictures of Mr. Finn.

My pretty nails from a few weeks ago.  I get them done again on Monday as well as a pedicure which I am extra excited about.

My haircut a couple weeks ago as well.  Trying to get all beautified before baby comes since it might be a while until my next appointment!

Josh and I went out to the Kumquat Festival in Dade City.  It was one of the biggest craft festivals i have ever been to as well as tons of food, a car show and small carnival. Oh and a lot of Kumquats.

We went to one of our favorite Chili cookoffs, at the Stadium in New Port Richey.  Last year it was on the coldest, rainiest day of the year and was really hard to enjoy it, but it was on a gorgeous day this year and the breweries really stepped up the Chili quality too.

I got together with Nicole and Jackson this week, one last time before baby comes and we enjoyed a delicious smoothie and a Sprinkles cupcake in Hyde Park Village. We had a great visit and did a little playing at the park and some shopping.

Later that day I got to get to together with my dear friend/cousin Alana and her BF Matt, all the way from Canada.  I haven't seen Alana in far too long and it was so great to catch up and have lunch.

Josh and I went to the Rays Fanfest at Tropicana field again this year and picked up some cheap merchandise and saw some of the Rays players. After we went to Red Mesa Mercado, for one  of the best Burritos we have ever had.  There are three Red Mesa Restaurants in St. Pete and now I can't wait to try the other two.

I got together with my Shellinator friend Jess the other day as well.  We went to Dipped and Sprinkled in Dunedin for a latte and some truffles and then walked around the Downtown Dunedin Market.

Fab Friday Faves 1.24.20

Hi everyone! Happy Friday!  Well as of today i have only about a month at most of pregnancy left.  How is this possible?  I really don't feel ready, but I think we are actually as ready as possible.  I just have a couple more weeks of nesting left that I'd like to get done. Baby was great at my appointment on Thursday, he's pretty much ready to go.
Stayed tuned for a few more blogs (I hope) before his arrival.

We finally got to see our little man's face again this week.  He hadn't been in a good position for a few weeks.  How cute is he?  I can't wait to kiss those little lips!

My baby shower was last Saturday, and I was so spoiled!  thanks to Nicole for all of the amazing food (She made me Nanaimo bars and scones) and all my girls for the amazing gifts (including the ones that sent stuf for me). We had a great afternoon!

Tuesday, Nicole, Jackson, Beth, Owen and I went down to Apollo Beach to see the manatees on the coldest day of the year so far.  There were quite a few out taking shelter.  I do this every year and I love seeing them.  We also went to Goodson Strawberry farm for some strawberries and the best Strawberry shortcake (with ice cream and whipped cream).

Smudge is being such a good big sister.  She loves being next to my belly and baby loves kicking when he hears her meow.  It is so sweet!

I came across this little guy while shelling the other day.  He has quite the shell!

Fab Friday Faves 1.10.20

Yup, I'm a day late again!  I've been busy, but here is a quick Fab 5.  I'm 33 weeks pregnant today! that means I should have about 6 weeks left to go (I will be induced before my Feb 29 due date). This seems so quick I feel lost and like I have so much left to do.  The nursery is almost completely done, just a couple finishing touches left.  I have my baby shower next weekend and some maternity photos at the beach booked for Feb 2 (I didn't realize it was Super Bowl when I booked!) after that it should be smooth sailing, I hope! I've made myself a schedule, a different room and area to clean and organize for the next month, when really I just want to sit around, or more accurately, nap. I haven't been sleeping at night due mostly to Braxton Hicks and also just randomly waking up wide awake, but I do seem to be able to nap.  Warning to any women planning on getting pregnant, it may seem when you have a friend that is pregnant that they are pregnant for like, 3 years... but when it is you, it goes by in a flash, at least until the point I am at now.  Maybe the last moth will be 4562 days long, and I kinda hope that it is.
Not much new other than that in the McMann household!  Happy birthday to Auntie Lorri tomorrow!
See everyone next week, maybe.

Last weekend we drove down to Punta Gorda for Raymond's first birthday party with the Wilcox clan.  We had a lovely time with them all again, and are very appreciative to have some "family" to spend some time with.  We had cake, present and a boat ride through the canals.  The guys had no success fishing so they decided to fish for coconuts.  Word of advice, don't chop open floating coconuts, they are mostly rotten and smell really bad.

A few days after Christmas, we went to Enchant, the world's largest Christmas light maze.  There was also a skating track and some amazing food and crafts.  We should have went earlier, but it just didn't work out and the night s we tried were sold out. It was amazing, and if it comes to your city next year, be sure to check it out.

I'm so in love with my new nails!

Josh and I went to my first NHL game of the year this week, the Lightning vs Coyotes.  He's been to a couple, but managed to snag a ticket for his hockey fan wife for this one.  We all know I LOVE hockey games, so it was nice, especially since it will likely be my last one at least for this season.

This was our NYE and I didn't mind at all.  I think Josh maybe would have liked to have done something more but guess who was asleep before I was?  Also this is our Ultimate Sac, one of our Christmas gifts to us.  It is pretty awesome, but not super pregnancy friendly, only because it is a touch difficult to roll out of haha.

Fab Friday Faves 12.27.19

It's the last Friday of 2019 and the decade! I hope everyone's Christmas and year were great.  There were a lot of ups and downs this year but I spent half the year pregnant with our baby boy, and that is the biggest blessing that we could have ever asked for.
We have had a pretty busy Christmas season considering we didn't have any visitors this year, but it is always good to stay busy.  Josh had Christmas Eve and Christmas day off and we made use of both days, doing some Christmasy events and going to Chad and Chrissy's to spend the day with their family that is down from Maine.  It was nice to be around some familiar faces and we had a great time and some great food.
I'm 31 weeks tomorrow! the nursery is almost complete and I have my shower coming up in a few weeks.  Things are getting real!
Every one have a great week and see you in 2020!

We spent Christmas morning opening gifts and having breakfast then headed to Orlando.  We face timed with my parents on the way and ended up talking to Polly. I didn't take any pictures in Orlando, we were having too much fun, but we had a really nice time

Smudge was her normal beautiful Christmas self.

We checked out Indian Trails as we do every year, our amazing light display in town.  As usual it is pretty spectacular!

We also went to the Florida Botanical Gardens in Largo.  It was amazing!

I got a cheese Advent calendar from Target, because...cheese... and pregnant.  I got it not long before Christmas so I haven't finished it yet, but the cheeses in it are delicious!

Josh and I went to a Bucs game, a few days before Christmas. It was such a nicer day, and we had club seats so you can't go wrong, even if the home team loses.

Fab Friday Faves 12.13.19

Happy Friday y'all! And a happy Friday the 13th at that.  Just a quick update from the last few weeks. We had a great trip to New Orleans, I'm working on a blog about the weekend but honestly I have been so busy! At my appt 9 days ago, baby was doing great and weighed 2lbs10oz. I feel like he's gained about a whole lb since then.  Everything is getting harder and harder to do, just rolling over in bed is starting to be a chore.  I'm 29 weeks tomorrow. Josh and I had a lovely 7th anniversary yesterday... how has it been 7 years?
We are having Chad and Chrissy over for the weekend, and then a little Christmas party with a few friends on Sunday.
Alright, heres a quick Five (maybe more) from the last few weeks.

Our 7th anniversary.   How is this even possible?  We went to Giovanni's just a few minutes from our house and had a delicious meal.  Josh also surprised me with a massage and Starbucks gift card earlier in the day.

A teaser of our NOLA trip.  Stay tuned next week for the whole blog!

The weekend before New Orleans, we went to Christmastown at Busch Gardens with Chad and Chrissy and the boys.  We had a great evening and it is so beautiful at Christmas there,

My Christmas nails that I got done a couple days ago.  SO cute!

This is my Thanksgiving adopted turkey, Elsa.  I adopt a turkey from Farm Sanctuary every year.  It is a great cause!

Fab Friday Faves 11.22.19

Hi everyone! Happy Friday!  Last week I just didn't have enough to warrant doing a whole blog, but I've managed to scrape together a few things for this week.  This week has been long.  Smudge has been sick since last Friday, and has had several vet visits and medications.  This morning, she got a sedative and went to stay at the vet for a few hours.  They think they have figured out the problem and she is on an antibiotic and some other medications.  I also have not been feeling the greatest, I developed at UTI on Saturday morning and ended up having to go to Urgent Care for some antibiotics.  I still don't feel amazing but I am sure the stress from worrying about Smudge hasn't helped. Hopefully we are both on the mend, as Josh and I leave on Wednesday for New Orleans and I don't want to have to worry! I also had my Glucose Screening this morning while Smudge was at the vet.  It wasn't bad at all and I just read a book for the whole hour.  Fingers crossed I don't have to go in for the 3 hour test next week!
Chad and Chrissy are coming over to meet us at at Busch Gardens tomorrow which should be great.  Christmas town is up and running there and it is supposed to be beautiful.
Everyone enjoy your weekend and a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Two weekends ago, Josh was invited to a Luxury box to watch the Buccaneers play the Cardinals.  We met up with his co-worker and wife for some pre game tailgating and then we got to watch the game in the air conditioning with tons of food and drink.  No better way to do it!

I got my hair done this week, it made me feel a bit better and I really wanted to have it done for our trip next week.  As usual Serena at Sola did a great job.

I got my nails done this week too, it was a cute idea that my friend Jodie sent me, great for fall!
I haven't been out shelling too much lately but I try to get out once a week.  This is my haul from last week at low tide.  It has been so nice to get out and not be sweating by 6am. Also, you can't beat the sunrise!

Cheerios came out with a toasted Coconut flavor, I'm not sure when, but if you know me I am a sucker for anything coconut.  These are delicious!

I've gotten a couple pregnancy boxes in the last couple weeks.  The first one was a free one I got from  babylist.com for adding a certain amount to my registry.  I was actually shocked at how awesome it was, some really great things in it.  If you are interested, you can find our registry HERE.
The second box, I paid for, from bumpboxes.com I got some great stuff for me and for baby.  The box is $40 a month and I really love it.  If you are interested, you can use this link to purchase http:/bumpbox.co/Dmqht
