Happy First Friday in December my darlings! I cannot believe how time is flying lately, eleven days today until we get possession of our house and three weeks until Christmas! We had a pretty quiet week, but still seem busy at all times, which is good because I am getting anxious to get into our house and If I have time to stop and think about it I'll get anxious and have a minor freak out!
The most exciting thing though is that today we have our first Florida visitor! My BFF Miranda is coming for a long weekend getaway and I could not be happier. I miss her tons and we need a visit more than ever. When she leaves on Tuesday, Josh goes away for a few days to Houston again, and then we get the house, and then my parents will be here for Christmas. It is going to be a crazy month!
If you are heading to NYC in the future, or just want to know things to do in case you ever decide to go, check out my blog post from this week that is one of my favorites ever:
Something else exciting, I was informed last night that I am going to be the featured blogger today on one of my favorite H54F linkups! I have been linking up with them for a couple years now and am thrilled they have chosen me this week.
Alright, I better go and start getting ready for my visitor, so have a great Friday, a fantastic week and an awesome week!
1. We have a pretty sweet Disc Golf course in Hammock Park across the street, so this week Josh and I went and bought some discs and he taught me how to play. He is pretty good (and looks good playing!), having played in the past, but I am not very good haha. I guess it just takes practice, but it is really fun! I was even a little sore the morning after!
2. Florida is really getting in the Christmas spirit, but I guess they have to try a little harder since the weather makes it seem like it is summer all the time. Things are getting very festive with decorations and Christmas trees up everywhere. These are some trees we have come across in St. Pete and Dunedin.
3. We took our first trip to the insanely huge Countryside mall this week, it has everything, including a skating rink. Anyway, I stopped in at Teavana, just to look around and sampled their White Chocolate Peppermint Tea. So Delicious and festive, I am in love! I bought a bag of it to have at home and I cannot wait to sit around the tree sipping on it.
4. I have been frequenting the Dunedin Downtown Market since we got here, and have purchased pretty much everything... but this week I decided to try the homemade Roasted Garlic Bread from the Camelot Bread booth. It is so yummy, actually too yummy! I rarely eat bread but I could not keep my hands off this stuff.
I was wandering in the Walgreens down the street the other day and came across these bottled teas from Argo Tea. For anyone that doesn't know, Argo Tea is one of my favorite tea places, based in NYC (in the Flatiron Building is my favorite location) and I miss them so much! Now I can get a little taste of them wherever I go. The Walgreens had four flavors, I tried these two and they were delicious.
