Fab Friday Faves 11.22.13

Good Morning all!  As you read this, Josh and I are headed to the Islas Ballestas and Paracas National Reserve AKA the Galapagos of Peru.  I am ridiculously excited.  I have been waiting to go here for quite some time!  So I will keep it short, enjoy the Friday Fives and check back for photos and a tour of our trip today!

1. The Riders are headed to the GREY CUP!  For anyone reading this in Saskatchewan, no explanation is needed.  For those of you that aren't, The Roughriders are the Saskatchewan Football team.  They have made it to the final playoff game of the season, the Canadian equivalent of the Superbowl.  The Roughriders have the most crazy, dedicated, most hardcore fans ever.  They actually have the highest merchandise sales of any sports team in North America.  A province of 1 million people buys more merch than any New York, LA or Toronto sports team.  You really have to be from Saskatchewan to get it!  RIDER PRIDE BABY!

2. These Christmas Gift baskets are all over Wong right now.  Rum, wine, Corn flakes, cheese, crackers, olive oil etc.  You know, the essentials.  Yes Please!

3. I thought the title of number three was fitting for Friday.  Fab Faves to go from Sephora.  The three most essentials from the FAB beauty line in travel size.  Perfect for the traveling woman like me!  These products are also amazing!

4. "The Lost City of the Incas" by Hiram Bingham was one of our purchases in Cusco after we visited Machu Picchu.  It chronicles Hiram Bingham's life and his discovery and restoration of one of the greatest archeological finds of all time.  I'n reading it right now, and it is so interesting and fascinating!

5. Chocolate flavored Piscos from the Choco Museo.  Pisco is the main alcohol of Peru and is made from grapes much like wine.  It is very potent and doesn't waste anytime giving you a buzz.   So when it is infused with Cacoa beans and another flavor (Choco-mango, choco-passion fruit, choco-banana, choco-coffee, chico-ginger and many more) really makes it more of an enjoyable drink.  If you are ever in Lima or Cusco be sure to go test some and lots of other chocolate treats at the Choco Museo.

  3. Dropping in from the linkup! My inlaws just hiked up the mountain to Machu Piccu this summer. They said it was the hardest thing they've ever done but it was so worth it. Maybe I should get them this book for Christmas!
